I want to keep reminding myself this site exists, which means using it. And this seems like a fitting thing to crosspost here from tumblr. So!

I have a big pile of books that I’ve been buying but not reading over the years. My attention span and ability to invest into new original media seemed to absolutely tank these past five years in particular.

But: I’ve finally begun reading again since graduating! And I kind of want to ramble about it. :)




1. Dreadful Company

The first fiction book I’ve finished in forever and a day was Dreadful Company by Vivian Shaw. It’s the second book in the Greta Helsing trilogy. The series itself is highly relevant to my interests, as the main character is a doctor for the supernatural and there’s a strong value placed in friendships and the general well-being of people.

I’ve started writing original fiction a bit, again. Whilst trying to think of places to publish/mirror it other than tumblr, since theoretically AO3 wouldn’t be the most appropriate place (even if its organizational tools are wonderful), I remembered Dreamwidth exists. xD

Honestly I still know absolutely nothing about this site, including whether it’s at all useful for fiction that’s more than a couple thousand words, but! Hey. At least I remembered, heh. Also I can’t figure out whether I can have spaces in tags, but it looks like some of the tag management tools here might be lovely.

If any of you have any tips on how to share things on Dreamwidth (or how not to), I’d be happy to hear them!
